As we expand, we are looking for a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to join our Dublin, OH team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, compassionate professional with a strong background in pharmaceutical regulations, clinical assessments, and patient education.
Position Overview:
The Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for prescription verification, patient medication assessments, and ensuring compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations. Additionally, this role requires collaboration with healthcare teams to provide expert guidance on drug therapy, infusion therapy management, and patient care protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prescription Review & Verification:
- Approve and verify prescriptions in accordance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Conduct medication assessments to ensure optimal patient treatment.
- Perform final quality checks before medication dispensing and delivery.
- Clinical Support & Patient Care:
- Respond to medication-related inquiries from internal staff (Technicians, RNs) and external healthcare professionals.
- Assess laboratory data and therapeutic drug ranges to optimize medication management.
- Educate patients on medication administration, potential side effects, and best practices.
- Regulatory & Compliance Management:
- Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations regarding controlled substances and pharmaceutical policies.
- Implement cost-effective procurement and dispensing strategies while maintaining high-quality patient care.
- Cross-Team Collaboration & Project Involvement:
- Work closely with Pharmacy Directors and management on clinical initiatives, special projects, and continuous process improvements.
- Assist with on-call responsibilities to provide patient support outside of regular hours.
Qualifications:
- Active Pharmacist License in Tennessee (or ability to obtain quickly).
- Experience in home infusion therapy, clinical pharmacy, or specialty pharmacy preferred.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, infusion medication protocols, and therapeutic drug monitoring.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
